1904 - AUGUSTUS DEANE

A big "thank you" to Brian Deane, a Blue Coat pupil from 1935-1942 who sent us this photograph of his father, AUGUSTUS DEANE.  

Born in 1896, Augustus was about eight years old when this picture was taken, and would have been at the school when it moved from School Lane to the present building in Wavertree.

Notice the cap that formed part of the uniform in those days.
