LIVERPOOL BLUE COAT BROTHERLY SOCIETY

Founded 1838

Fred Collis left the Blue Coat School in 1938 and, apart from a few visits in 1939, had not set foot in the place for almost 70 years.

Now living in Florida, he finally made the trip to Wavertree on 21st July 2008 with his son David and grandson Derek, and spent a happy afternoon touring the building as a guest of the Brotherly Society. We even arranged for his old mate Dave Kesterton to meet him!

Fred travelled over again in July 2009 and helped us on our tombola stall at the Parents' Association Summer Fayre!

ROLLING BACK THE YEARS - Fred sits once again at his old school desk, now preserved in the School Library (or the Dining Hall as Fred remembers it).
